NDC disowns John Paul Anih, warns public against impersonation

ABUJA, Nigeria (NPA) — The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has distanced itself from the activities of John Paul Anih, declaring that he is neither the party’s Enugu State Chairman nor a representative of the party in any capacity.
In a statement signed by Osa Director Esq., National Publicity Secretary, the NDC accused Anih of impersonating the authentic state chairman, Engr. Ibuchukwu Obeta, and conducting a “kangaroo congress” to install himself.
The party further alleged that Anih forged and sold fake Expression of Interest forms to unsuspecting aspirants and set up a fraudulent screening committee in Enugu State.
The NDC clarified that the legitimate three‑man screening team for Enugu comprises Hon. Sylvester O. Nwankwo (Chairman), Barr. Ifeanyi Emmanuel Agbom (Secretary), and Ngene Helen Funmilola (Member).
The party warned the public that anyone transacting business with Anih does so at their own risk, reiterating that he is a fraud and does not represent the NDC.
