Kano Police reiterate ban on Durbar, horse-riding activities in public places

KANO, Nigeria (NPA) — The Kano State Police Command has reiterated the enforcement of the ban on all Durbar and horse- or animal-riding activities in public places across the state.
The Command, in a statement issued on Friday, said the security directive remained in force and was binding on all individuals and organisations.
It said anyone or organisation intending to hold such an activity must submit a written notice to the Commissioner of Police at least 72 hours in advance to allow for proper security assessment and arrangements.
The Command urged strict compliance with the directive and assured residents of continued efforts to maintain peace, safety and public order across the state.
